This is going to be a bit of a promotional weekend for “The Shoemaker” on this blog, as Friday, Saturday and Sunday I’ll be holding my first 99¢ sale for the book on Amazon.
For me, marketing has always been the most challenging aspect of being an author. I’m not a sales person by nature (that ol’ introvert thing,) so I’ve been taking careful notes on what I’m comfortable with in terms of marketing and what I’m not. I’ll share those thoughts in a future post, once I’ve had a chance to reflect on the experience of this upcoming weekend.
However, before all of that — I’m so excited to unveil my book trailer for “The Shoemaker.” Like the illustrations within the book itself, I do not take any credit for the concept, visuals or design. That is entirely the genius of my sister, Roberta, who is one of the most talented artists I know. Her creativity is boundless, regardless of the medium in which she works and I am so honoured that she chooses to share her talent with me.
To me, “The Shoemaker” would be half the book it is, without her beautiful artwork and artistry.
