Happy 450th, William!

How incredible that Shakespeare celebrates his 450th Birthday this week.
Shakespeare has been a great source of inspiration to me throughout my life. His talent with language and words is almost untouchable.

It’s even impossible to name my favorite play: Macbeth, Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, Henry V, Twelfth Night, Julius Caesar, The Tempest. And then, of course, there is his sonnets.

To hear Shakespeare’s words spoken aloud is truly a magical thing. And so in honour of his birthday, I present one of my favorite pieces performed by my favorite Shakespearean actor, the marvelous Derek Jacobi.

Nice! What author does not beg her audience’s pardon, when crafting our own worlds of words? In this passage, I hear Bill’s gratitude for his forgiving and enthusiastic fan base. Holla!
